We will arrange for buses to bring students and coaches from the city to campus Saturday morning and drop them back off in the city Saturday evening. The tournament will be held in the Dining Center (see campus map)
The tournament will contain both a rated and a non-rated section. There will be prizes for the top players in each section, as well as the top schools. This is an individual tournament so there is no limit on the number of players from each school.
By Friday, 3/16/12 please email Caitlin (haverfordchess@gmail.com) advance registration for players who will participate in the tournament. Please include name, grade and school. If the player will compete in the rated section please include his/her USCF ID # and expiration date in the email.
On-site registration is discouraged but will run from 9-9:45AM. All pre-registered players are required to arrive by 9:30 and check in with the tournament director. The tournament is G/45 and rounds will start at approximately 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, and 2:30 (subject to change as needed). Students will be given a tour of the campus by current Haverford Students after the fourth round is over, before the award ceremony.
Lunch will be provided free of charge to players, coaches and parents.
