- Moment of Silence
- Will thanked everyone for their help and spoke about how he
was pleased regarding how great both American Idol and the Dance
were.
- Erica from 8th dimension came to the meeting to discuss about
the Spring Children’s Fair. She would like some help from SC the
day of the event. The fair will be on April 5, from 1pm-4pm outside
of Ryan Gym. If anyone is interested in helping or working the
fair please e-mail ephillip@haverford.edu. There will be balloons,
face-painting and games for all of the children. Heidi, Arie,
and Janine volunteered to work the event.
- Committee Reports
Appointments: Lauren announced that Alexis
Simpson, Jared Dowd, and John Frisbee will be in charge of Class
Night. Budgeting: Andrew said that SC will be giving
money to sponsor a Disability Awareness Week in hope of having
more handicap-ramps being put up around campus. Activities:
Beth announced that Staff Appreciation Day is April 10th 1:30-3:30,
Jon spoke about the possibility of another dance – maybe a middle
school dance theme in Ryan Gym. Jon said that Sundance is April
26th. Scott spoke about the possibility of getting buses to
transport students to St Joes for the Regional American Idol
to support Rich, Diandra, and Charles.
- Scott spoke about Cable TV. SC told the deans we would like
it in every common room, but the administration has only decided
to put it in Barclay lounge, Gummeree basement and the sunken
lounge so far. Scott put a new proposal together to have it in
every common room. Josh asked about how it would affect HCA, and
that is still being discussed.
- Will announced that we signed a contract with a Security-Card
vendor. The one-card access system will be ready for the Fall
2003 semester. SC will continue to discuss policies in the near
future.
- Will spoke about the idea of putting a Coffee Machine in INSC.
Scott mentioned the possibility of having vans running in from
Philly on Saturday nights after the train stops running. Jon spoke
to several people about getting machines for the weightroom. Jon
will set up a meeting with Greg Kanterstein.
- Dorm Rep thoughts: Josh asked about putting sand in by HCA for
beach volleyball. He will check with Norm Ricker. Dave asked about
getting change machines in Gummere. James wants to have a North
Dorms barbeque. Camille expressed how many students are upset
with the idea of paying for printing in the library. Will responded
that SC is trying to work things out for e-reserves and that SC
will try to allow for free-printing for school related issues.
