I. Moment of Silence
II. Computer Group: Chris Kingsley, Geddes, Nathan Keim
a. Geddes spoke of the inability of students to
use the front-page of www.haverford.edu and introduced a new student
homepage that would go on a different server. Cost: $3000. Would
be free. Also, a group should be put together to help students
access email. Not maintained by ACC and would have a link on the
Haverford webpage. More “student friendly” page. They
would like to hold a student wide meeting if plan is approved.
III. Committee Reports
a. Appointments- Lauren reported that Matt Rosen
and Katie S. were appointed Customs Heads for 2003-2004. No one
was appointed to Snowball had and Drew and Heather volunteered
to run it.
i. Haverfest heads appointment next week
b. Activities- Beth and Jon stated that the Hip Hop party is this
Saturday at 10 with J-Live from NY. Scott decided that we should
charge $10 to allow non-tri-co members.
IV. Dorm Rep Thoughts
a. Drew spoke about bringing in newspapers- one
month trial: Washington Post, NY Times, USA Today. Start next
semester recommendation.
b. 13th, 14th of November will be a jewelry sale in the DC. SC
will get 15% of the profits
c. Joe mentioned plumbing problems in Jones. A work order has
been put out.
d. Greg Reed and Jeff reported drastic differences among inventory’s
of microwaves, vacuums, and water fountains on each hall.
e. Josh asked about Coop Points. Will mentioned that the Sunken
Lounge hours will be brought up with Joe Tolliver.
f. James and Elizabeth mentioned complaints about hot water in
Comfort and Lunt. Also, change machines up campus.
g. Greg asked about a student run dark-room in Gummere. There
is one in the DC.
